About us
We obsess over owning high-quality Indian equities at attractive prices.
We understand India at ground level, through lived experience, real conversations, and an intuitive sense of how businesses behave.
We combine large-scale data with deep on-ground diligence.
Numbers matter, but only when validated by reality.
We earn when our investors do.
Suraag Capital is built on a simple, uncompromising principle:
The fund exists to serve its Limited Partners.
A majority of the founder’s personal capital is invested alongside LPs in the Suraag Capital Fund. Every decision we make is guided by a single question:
What is in the best long-term interest of our investors?
Our structure is deliberately designed around symmetry:
- The NIFTY 500 TRI serves as the hurdle rate.
- The bulk of our fees are performance-linked, not fixed.
- Performance fees are earned only when returns exceed both the benchmark and the high-water mark.
In short, we earn only when our investors do.
Our performance is not measured year-to-year.
We evaluate outperformance over the full period of capital managed, ensuring the firm is aligned to long-term compounding rather than short-term results.

Made with
in India
We invest exclusively in India because it is a market we truly know and intuitively understand.
Our approach is disciplined and templatised, focused on identifying low-risk entry points into high-quality businesses. Each investment is backed by deep research, a clear underwriting framework, and identifiable catalysts.
Capital preservation comes first. Sensible, long-term compounding follows.
